How to Create an OMR Answer Sheet in Minutes (PDF & Word)
Making an OMR answer sheet used to mean buying software or paying a print shop. Today you can design one in your browser and download it as a PDF or Word file in under a minute. Here’s how.
Step 1: Open the generator
Go to the Generate OMR Sheet page. You’ll see a simple form with sensible defaults.
Step 2: Set the basics
- Institute/title and a subtitle (exam or subject).
- Number of questions — anything from 10 to 500.
- Options per question — 2 to 5 (A–E).
Step 3: Add identity fields and a roll grid
Tick the fields you want (name, roll number, class, date) and choose how many roll-number bubble columns to print. These help both candidates and scanners.
Step 4: Brand it (optional)
Upload your school or institute logo and, if you run multiple paper sets, add booklet sets (A, B, C). The sheet automatically prints corner registration marks for clean scanning.
Step 5: Download PDF or Word
Click Download PDF for a print-ready A4 sheet, or Download Word if you want to edit it further. You can also generate a filled answer key version for your records.
Step 6: Print and test
Print on plain A4, photocopy as many as you need, and you’re ready. After the exam, grade fast with the answer checker or by scanning the sheets.
That’s it — a professional OMR sheet, free, in minutes.
