Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OMRSheetMaker (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of omrsheetmaker.in (“Service”), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit the site or use the OMR sheet generator, question-paper maker, answer checker and scanning tools.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & login data: if you create an account, we collect your name, email address and, if you choose to enable it so we can create your account and verify you (by email OTP).
  • Content you upload or create: the OMR sheets, question papers, MCQs and answer keys you build, and the answer sheets, scans or photos you upload or capture for checking and grading. This content is processed to generate your sheets, grade responses and show you results; it is not used for any other purpose.
  • Payment data: if you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment partners (Razorpay and/or Instamojo). We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank account details on our servers — we keep only transaction records such as plan, amount and status.
  • Usage & device data: standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring pages, collected automatically for security, troubleshooting and to understand how the Service is used.
  • Communications: if you contact us for support, we keep a record of that correspondence to help resolve your query.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for a few purposes:

  • Essential cookies to keep you logged in and let the site function correctly (for example, remembering your session while you generate or check a sheet).
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising cookies. We may show advertisements on this site, including through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s prior visits to this website or other websites — learn more at Google’s “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” page.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to: provide and operate the Service; create and secure your account; process payments, renewals and refunds; send service emails such as verification codes, receipts, and trial or renewal reminders; respond to support requests; detect and prevent abuse or fraud; show relevant advertising (where applicable); and comply with our legal obligations.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only where necessary, with:

  • Payment gateways (Razorpay, Instamojo) to process payments;
  • Email providers to deliver OTPs, receipts and notifications;
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers who store the Service’s data;
  • Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google, who may set cookies as described above; and
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain account, content and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed for legal, accounting or security purposes. Uploaded answer sheets and scans are retained only as long as needed to provide grading and results, or until you delete them from your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to records we are required to keep.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for teachers, institutions and adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without appropriate parental or institutional consent.

9. Third-party links and advertising

Our site may contain links to third-party sites and may display third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
